Police seek man who robbed customer at convenience store

CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating an armed robbery late Sunday night outside a Champaign convenience store.

According to a police report, a 25-year-old customer was outside the Circle K, 2315 W. Springfield Ave., Champaign, at 11:45 p.m. Sunday when a second man approached him, displayed a black handgun and demanded that the victim give him cash and his cellphone.

The robber took the cash and cellphone and ran off.

The victim did not report any injuries, according to the report.
