Centennial dance to benefit hospital

CHAMPAIGN — Students from Champaign Centennial High School on Friday will host a dance marathon to benefit St. John's Children's Hospital in Springfield.

The dance marathon will include nearly 250 students, teachers and volunteers for a four-hour celebration of their year-long fundraising efforts for the hospital.

It's scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. and interested families and adults are welcome to stop by.

It will feature food, a jousting ring and obstacle course and a teacher dance-off.

Centennial athletes will also escort in four children who are current or recent St. John's patients, who will share their stories.
