Teen gets probation in vehicle burglary

URBANA — A Tolono teen has been sentenced to 24 months of probation in connection with a vehicle burglary late last year in Savoy.

Jordin R. Wease, 18, who listed an address in Tolono, pleaded guilty this week to one count of burglary.

Judge Tom Difanis sentenced Wease to 24 months of probation and two days in the county jail, with credit for two days he has already served.

Wease was also ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and to submit blood, saliva or tissue specimens to the state police or the Illinois Department of Corrections within 45 days.

According to Assistant State’s Attorney Troy Lozar, witnesses saw Wease entering a vehicle on Dec. 3, 2012, in the 800 block of Wesley in Savoy and called police.

Lozar said that Wease took a cigar box with change and personal items from the vehicle.
