Spring concert scheduled in Westville

WESTVILLE — The public is invited to Westville High School's spring concert.

It will be held at 7 p.m. Thursdayin the new gym at the high school, 918 N. State St., Westville.

The concert band will present a selection of patriotic music including "A National Prayer" and "Marches of the Armed Forces," during which current and former members of the armed services will be recognized.

The concert chorus will perform music that centers around the theme of peace, which are meant to be encouraging and comforting in light of the recent national tragedies.

The Singing Tigers will a gospel-style song, "Let There Be Peace" by Andy Beck, and the concert chorus will perform "Walk a Mile (in Your Neighbor's Shoes)" by Pepper Choplin and "For Good" from the Broadway hit musical "Wicked."
