Nevada resort setting up charter flights from Willard

SAVOY — A resort in Laughlin, Nev., is teaming with an airline to offer nonstop charter flights to Laughlin from the University of Illinois Willard Airport, beginning this summer.

Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino has arranged with Minneapolis-based Sun Country Airlines to offer flights on a 159-passenger jet, with the first trip slated for July 14 to 18, according to a release from the resort.

The package — which has an introductory price of $250 per person — includes four-night hotel accommodations, round-trip airfare, taxes and fees, luggage handling and airport ground transfers.

The flight from Willard goes to Laughlin/Bullhead City International Airport.

The resort has charter flights from 68 cities nationally, including Springfield, Moline and Rockford in Illinois.

One flight is currently scheduled from Springfield (May 12-16), and two each are scheduled from Moline (June 10-14 and July 25-28) and Rockford (May 6-10 and July 19-22).

The resort began the flights from Springfield last year. More information on the resort and flights can be found at the resort's website, http://www.riversideresort.com.
