Severe thunderstorm warning expires

The severe thunderstorm warning for Champaign and Vermilion counties has expired.

The National Weather Service continues to have a severe thunderstorm watch until 1 a.m. Friday.

Areas affected include Champaign, Coles, Douglas, Edgar and Vermilion counties.

A severe thunderstorm watch means weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms.
