Ag broadcaster says more planting work to do

An Illinois agriculture broadcaster said farmers in the state are not out of the woods yet when it comes to planting and the eventual harvest.

That's the word from Max Armstrong, who said what's stood out to him recently is that crops aren't coming out of the ground like they should be.

Armstrong also said that while Illinois farmers have had a tough planting season, it may be worse up north.

Armstrong made the comments Wednesday on the NewsTalk 1400 WDWS Morning Show.
