The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 1 a.m. Thursday for Ford and Iroquois counties.

A severe thunderstorm watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms.

A severe thunderstorm warning for Ford and Iroquois counties expired at 10 p.m.

At 8:39 p.m. a line of severe thunderstorms was located along a line extending from 6 miles east of Dwight to Grant Park, moving east at 40 mph.

The storm includes quarter size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
