RURAL HAMMOND — Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon in rural Hammond.

According to a state police report, Andrea N. Ray, 22, who listed an address in Pesotum, was driving east on U.S. 36 about a quarter mile west of Piatt County Road 400 E when her vehicle crossed over the center line and crashed into a vehicle driven by Tena L. Combs, 62, who listed an address in Atwood, at 4:31 p.m. Thursday.

Combs was airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, and Ray was taken by ambulance to Carle, where both of them were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No information was available on their conditions on Thursday night.

A six-year-old passenger in Combs’ vehicle from Maroa who was not identified by police was not injured, according to the report.
