GOP group hosts activities at farmers' market

DANVILLE — The Vermilion County Republican Women's Club is hosting activities for children on the Danville Public Library lawn Saturday morning in conjunction with the farmers' market.

From 8 a.m. to noon on the library lawn, 319 N. Vermilion St., club members will be offering a U.S. Constitution lesson for preschoolers and elementary school children that includes coloring pages. Complimentary U.S. Constitution pocket booklets and other patriotic items will be available.

Also, club members will be doing readings from books donated over the past four years by the club to each elementary school in Vermilion County. Children and adults can also sign patriotic cards for military members overseas. The patriotic cards were designed by Laura Henry, president of the Douglas County Republican Women.
