Three injured in two-vehicle crash in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN — Three people were reported hurt in an accident Friday afternoon in Champaign.
According to a Champaign police report, a vehicle headed north on Duncan Road was entering the intersection at Curtis Road at 1:47 p.m. when a southbound vehicle on Duncan Road attempted to turn east onto Curtis Road, crashing into the other vehicle.
A man and a woman in the first vehicle and a woman in the second vehicle, none of whom were identified by Champaign police, were taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where they were treated for injuries.
Champaign police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said all three people were alert and conscious at the time they were taken to the hospital.
No tickets were reported issued on Friday.
The accident remained under investigation by Champaign police.
