Fundraiser events to include car show

BISMARCK — The Bismarck Men's Club is hosting a car show, Little League tournament and a barbecue dinner today (Saturday, June 22) in Bismarck and a fireworks display tonight at Bismarck-Henning High School.

The events are all open to the public and are one of the fundraisers the Bismarck Men's Club does each year, so the club can donate to various causes in the community and to the Bismarck-Henning school district.

The car show will be from noon to 3 p.m., regardless the weather, at the parking lot of Bismarck-Henning High School, 17268 East 2750 North Road. Admission to the show is free, and the men's club encourages owners of all kinds of cars, including antique and new models, muscle cars, trucks, Performance Resurgence and others, to enter the show. There's a $10 entry fee for each vehicle, and entries will be accepted up to 10 a.m. today at the high school. There will be multiple trophies awarded for many categories.

In addition to the car show, there will be a Little League baseball tournament going on all day at the Bismarck Park on South Street, and the men's club and Bismarck firefighters will have a barbecue sandwich dinner from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the new fire station just east of the high school on Holloway Street.

The day will end with a fireworks display at the high school.
