Drug charges dismissed against three

URBANA — Drug charges have been dismissed against three people charged in Champaign County earlier this year with allegedly having LSD intended for sale.

Assistant State's Attorney Dan Clifton said he dismissed charges against Robert Antonelli, 20, of Crestwood; Kristen Shepard, 20, of Alsip; and Ryan Ebert, 23, of Palos Heights.

The trio had been charged in February with possession with intent to deliver LSD, a Class X felony, after their arrest by University of Illinois police in Urbana on Feb. 12 following a traffic stop. Police found about 200 doses of what they believed to be LSD in Shepard's bra.

Clifton said the Illinois State Crime Lab did not find LSD in the evidence that was submitted and he dismissed the charges on June 18.
