Lake Falls change will mean larger lots

SAVOY — There was no opposition from the planning commission to an informal discussion regarding an amendment to the general plan for the Lake Falls Subdivision's third phase. The developer, Signature Homes, is proposing to change a through street to a cul-de-sac, resulting in fewer, larger lots.

Zoning Administrator Dan Davies favored the change.

"Large lots are not a problem," Davies said. "Our standards are for minimums."

There will be a public hearing, and the planning commission will vote on the changes at its next meeting on July 22.

The planning commission also discussed preliminary plans for a currently wooded lot, between Dunlap Avenue and Wesley Avenue, just south of Graham Drive.
