Davis still hopeful for farm bill passage

A local Congressman said he still has hope that a farm bill will be passed, despite a failed vote on the plan in the House last week.

That's according to Republican Rodney Davis, who was a guest Thursday on the WDWS Morning Show.

He said he doesn't think an extension of the farm bill is likely.

Davis also said that House Speaker John Boehner has shown leadership recently on the farm bill.  He said Boehner did not want to vote on the bill last year, but this year he's pushing for a vote.
