Durbin weighs in on immigration reform prospects
An Illinois Senator said it's going to take a bipartisan effort to get immigration reform passed and into law.
The U.S. House failed to call a Senate-approved immigration plan for vote before Congress adjourned last week.
Democratic Senator Dick Durbin said a partisan solution has no chance of working.
Durbin added that even with immigration reform, unemployed Americans should have the first chance to be offered new jobs.
Durbin made the comments in Champaign on Monday during a stop at the Applied Technology Center at Parkland College.
