Twins' sentences identical in burglary

URBANA — Twin brothers who both admitted they broke into a grocery store in Rantoul earlier this year have received identical sentences.

Christian and Christopher Barragan, 17, both of the 200 block of Illinois Street, Rantoul, pleaded guilty Monday before Judge Harry Clem to burglary.

The pair admitted that on Feb. 20, they broke into the La Victoria store, 126 E. Sangamon Ave., and stole cash.

Each was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to have no contact with the store. They were also ordered to pay a total of $500 in restitution to the store owner.
