Urbana woman treated after DUI crash

OGDEN — An Urbana woman was treated and released from an area hospital after her car ran off an interstate exit ramp and overturned Thursday.

Illinois State Police at Pesotum said Rebecca S. Day, 42, was leaving eastbound Interstate 74 at Ogden at 11:11 p.m. when her car ran off the ramp. It went through the grass, hit a fence post and overturned.

The car was considered a total loss. Day was wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where she was treated and released.

Police said she was ticketed for driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
