Rantoul man accused of sexual abuse

RANTOUL — Police arrested a Rantoul man on Friday for allegedly sexually abusing a woman.

According to a police report, officers were called to a home in the 100 block of East Sangamon Avenue, Rantoul, at 1:55 p.m. Friday after a woman reported the incident.

The woman, whose age was not given, said that a man, identified as Dean J. Chadwick, 54, had invited her to his apartment and then inappropriately touched her.

Police found Chadwick at his apartment, arrested him for criminal sexual abuse and took him to the Champaign County Jail.
