Danville club for youths seeks mentors

DANVILLE — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vermilion County is sponsoring three training and information sessions for new and prospective mentors.

The first two will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the organization's offices, upstairs of the First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Franklin Street, Danville.

The third will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Hoopeston Multi Agency, 206 S. First St., Hoopeston.

The sessions are open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a drawing for a prize at each session.

Big Brothers Big Sisters links mentors with youth, ages 6 to 13, in Vermilion County. People will get information on mentoring opportunities.
