Selection of new high school site for Unit 4 Schools could come in October

The head of Champaign Unit 4 Schools said the school board hopes to select a site for a new high school this fall.

Superintendent Judy Wiegand said a decision will probably be made in October and that district officials continue to pore over demographic data to figure out the best option.

Wiegand added that building a new high school at the current Central High School site is still an option, but it's not likely.

Wiegand made the comments Thursday on the WDWS Morning Show.
