Shelden: no endorsement from Johnson yet, but he still has opinions

The former Chief of Staff to Congressman Tim Johnson said he expects Johnson to make his opinions known about the upcoming election.

That's according to Mark Shelden, who said he's unsure if Johnson will endorse anyone in the 13th Congressional District race.  But he said Johnson won't be silent during this election season.

Shelden is currently working for Erika Harold, who's challenging Congressman Rodney Davis on the Republican side of the 13th Congressional race.  He said the Springfield area is "presenting challenges" in terms of winning support and also that the Harold camp hasn't done much in Christian County, which is Davis' home county.

Shelden also said that he expects Ann Callis to prevail in the Democratic primary in the 13th Congressional race.  Although he said there's no outside pressure to have two women in the general election.

Shelden made the comments Tuesday on the WDWS Morning Show.
