Events to help pay medical expenses

COVINGTON, Ind. — A tractor drive and a Childhood Cancer Drive set for Sept. 14 will offer participants views of the Wabash Valley.

The events are sponsored by the Wabash Valley Gas and Steam Club. Registration for the tractor drive begins at 9:30 a.m.; it departs at 11:15 from Lape Farms, 5501 W. U.S. 36 near Covington.

At the end is a catered meal with $8 donation, an auction of donated items and a 50/50 drawing.

The 31-mile Childhood Cancer Drive is for other vehicles.

Both events are to benefit 22-month-old Ian Claypool, to help pay medical expenses associated with his cancer.
