Half Century of Progress Show kicks off Thursday

Agriculture lovers will flock to Rantoul starting Thursday for the Half Century of Progress Show.

The event features equipment demonstrations, live entertainment and general information about the ag industry.

Event organizer Darius Harms details the history of the event, which dates back to 2003.

Harms added that one of the top attractions at this year's show will be the giant tractor called Earthquake.

Harms made the comments Wednesday on the WDWS Morning Show.

Meanwhile, gates open for the Half Century of Progress Show Thursday at 7 a.m. at the Rantoul Aviation Center.  The event runs through Sunday.
