Documentary looks at hunger in America

DANVILLE — The Eastern Illinois Foodbank will co-host a free screening of the documentary "A Place at the Table" Wednesday evening at St. James United Methodist Church, 504 N. Vermilion, Danville.

The 84-minute documentary examines the issue of hunger in America through the lens of three people and will be shown at 6:30 p.m.

At the conclusion, the food bank's Executive Director Jim Hires will lead a discussion about the impact of hunger and what the food bank is doing to address it.

The documentary is rated PG and the event is open to the public.
