No injuries, no suspects in Urbana report of shots fired

URBANA — Urbana police aren't sure where shots came from in a north Urbana neighborhood Tuesday night.

Lt. Bob Fitzgerald said police received two calls of shots being fired about 9:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Romine Street.

"No one was hit. There are no suspects," he said.

"Shell casings were found in front of a house. We don't know if someone was shooting at the house, at a car or just up in the air. We're still investigating," he said.

Fitzgerald said police checked the area thoroughly and stopped a few drivers for questioning but found nothing unusual.

If you have information, call Crimestoppers at 217-373-8477 or Urbana police at 384-2320.
