Georgetown woman dies in crash

RURAL FAIRMOUNT — Local authorities are investigating a single-car crash that took the life of a 35-year-old Georgetown woman on Saturday.
 
Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson said Christina Pundt was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m. at the crash scene, south of Fairmount.
 
According to a report, the accident occurred on 1100 North Road near 700 East Road. The report said Ms. Pundt apparently lost control of her vehicle on loose gravel.
 
A passenger, whose name wasn’t available, was taken to Presence United Samaritans Medical Center’s emergency room in Danville.
 
Johnson’s office and the Vermilion County sheriff’s department are investigating.
