Good Neighbor Day set for Tuesday

You can make the day a little rosier for others Wednesday while helping out a Champaign shelter.

The Blossom Basket Florist is holding its annual Good Neighbor Day, where you can pick up a dozen free roses.  You're asked to keep one for yourself and hand out the rest to others.  Ten-thousand free roses will be available for sharing.

You can drive through the WDWS-WHMS-WKIO parking lot at Neil and Windsor to pick up the roses from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday.  Event organizers are also collecting non-perishable food items for the Times Center.

You can also stop by either Blossom Basket Florist shop on North Cunningham in Urbana or at Village at the Crossing at Windsor and Duncan in Champaign.  Or you can stop by Busey Bank on West Windsor in Champaign.
