Man arrested for DUI after crash on I-74

URBANA — A Sidney man was in the Champaign County jail Thursday for allegedly driving drunk after his car hit another car on Interstate 74 early Thursday.

Illinois State Police at Pesotum said Brandon E. Rush, 28, of Sidney, was driving west on I-74 near Cunningham Avenue in Urbana about 6:30 a.m. when he changed lanes and lost control. He then went back into the right lane and hit another westbound car driven by Aaron J. Fruhling, 54, of St. Joseph.

Rush's car then left the road, struck the median ditch and rolled over. Fruhling was not injured.

The report said after Rush's car came to a stop, he got out and ran. He was found later and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and improper lane usage, the report said.

Drunk at 6:30 am?  What a loser.  Hope they throw the book at him.  They should start charging these idiots with attempted homocide when they get drunk and crash.

He's still a drunken loser at 6:30am that could've killed somebody and should be punished.  He'll get off with a slap on the wrist and will continue drinking and getting drunk.  Will probably get caught again later in life if he doesn't change.

   BTW,  it's spelled A-L-L.
