Meeting planned on retirement for teachers

The Regional Office of Education and Champaign school district have scheduled a group meeting with the help of the Teachers' Retirement System to explain the retirement process to teachers.

It's scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in the lecture hall of Central High School.

Members of the system who have questions about their benefits and the retirement process are welcome to attend.

Make sure to ask questions about your future "pension reform" benefits.  You might decide to not retire; and work until...............

Too bad that no one teaches Civics anymore.  The children need to learn more about their state government; and it's two political parties.  A Political History of Illinois should be a required class also.
