Session on applying under Affordable Care Act set tonight

CHAMPAIGN — A free community session on how to apply for Affordable Care Act insurance and financial assistance will be held tonight (Thursday, Sept. 12) at the Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green St., C.

The session will start at 7 p.m. in the library's Robeson Rooms A & B on the first floor, and is being sponsored by Champaign County Health Care Consumers.

Included will be information on types of insurance being offered through the new state marketplace, how financial assistance can make the insurance more affordable, and how to get ready for open enrollment starting Oct. 1.

Amanda Kozar, regional outreach coordinator for the marketplace, will be among the speakers.
