Ludlow sets meeting on Neighborhood Watch

LUDLOW VILLAGE BOARD

LUDLOW — Village officials will gauge interest in starting a Neighborhood Watch program.

A meeting to discuss the program is scheduled at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at Ludlow Community Center. Neighborhood Watch is an organized group of residents focused on crime and vandalism prevention within a neighborhood.

Board member Randy Alesia will hand out flyers alerting the public to the community meeting.

The program was discussed at the monthly meeting of the village board this week.

In other business, the board discussed having Village Clerk Sandy Langley send letters to any resident who disputes his or her water bill within 15 days of receipt of the bill. A hearing would then be conducted at the next board meeting.

"If your bill is overdue, you need to attempt to pay on it and attempt to get hold of the water department to make arrangement to pay your bill or set up a payment schedule before it's shut off," Walker said.
