No one hurt by random shots in Urbana

URBANA — Urbana police are looking for the person who fired at least three shots in north Urbana early Saturday.

Sgt. Cory Koker said police received one call about 3:15 a.m. that shots had been fired near the intersection of Goodwin Avenue and Hill Street.

Koker said an alert officer recovered three casings. Officers are thinking that whoever fired the gun may have done so from a vehicle and fired into the air.

Koker said they were not aware of any houses being hit and had no reports of any other vehicles or people being struck by the random fire.
