Theft plea brings three-year sentence

URBANA — A Champaign man who admitted that he stole items from the home of a neighbor has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Judge Tom Difanis agreed to recommend Joshua Bradley, 22, of the 1500 block of Queens Way, for participation in the Department of Corrections' boot camp program.

Bradley pleaded guilty to theft with a prior burglary conviction, admitting that between June 8 and 21, he stole items from a shed of a couple living on nearby Roland Drive, then pawned them.

Lozar said the items included an air compressor, an air stapler and a Nintendo Wii system.

Bradley had a prior conviction for burglary, Lozar said.

In return for his plea, another felony case against Bradley was dismissed.
