Park district to seek public input on new director

CHAMPAIGN — The Champaign Park District will ask for residents' input as it looks for a new executive director.

The current director, Bobbie Herakovich, has announced that she will retire at the end of the year, and the park district is working with a search firm to find her successor.

Park officials are asking residents to attend a public forum at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Bresnan Meeting Center, 706 Kenwood Road, C.

They are also asking that residents complete a "leadership profile assessment" survey and bring it to the meeting. That survey will be available beginning tomorrow at the park district website, champaignparkdistrict.com.

Those who are unable to attend the meeting are asked to complete the survey and submit it online. The park district will accept surveys through Oct. 2.
