The city is looking to replace Doug Forsman, who will retire in December, and said the five finalists will be interviewed next week.

Those finalists are:  Champaign Fire Deputy Chief Steve Clarkson; Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Fire Chief Richard Ennis; Pinkerton Governmental Services in Peoria, Illinois, Fire Chief Charles Lauss; Oak Lawn, Illinois, Fire Chief George Sheets and Meriden, Connecticut, retired Fire Chief James Trainor.

The city said it will make a final selection in the next few weeks.
