CHAMPAIGN — The PTA Council will host a forum on bullying Oct. 3, at Centennial High School, 913 S. Crescent Drive, C.
It will begin at 5:30 p.m. and include a screening of the documentary, "Bully."
Following that, a panel discussion will include Dorothy Espelage, a professor at University of Illinois College of Education, who has devoted her career to the topic of bullying. It will also include Erika Harold, former Miss America, who continues to focus on the topic of bullying; Michelle Petty, of the Eastern Illinois Safe Schools Alliance; Champaign police Officer Ed Wachala, who is the school resource officer at Centennial; Franklin Middle School Principal Sara Sanders; and Susan Zola, Champaign assistant superintendent for achievement, curriculum and instruction.
The event is open to Champaign faculty and staff members, administrators and parents.
