UI police arrest 3 men after suspected drugs are found

URBANA — University of Illinois police arrested three men over the weekend after they found suspected drugs in a vehicle.

Randy L. Lindsey, 28, who listed an address in South Pekin; Jeremy R. Oaks, 22, who listed an address in Wyanet; and Joseph A. Urbino, 19, who listed an address in Oglesby; were each charged on Monday with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Judge John Kennedy set Urbino's next court appearance for Nov. 5.

Lindsey and Oaks are both due back in court on Oct. 16 after both men asked for more time to hire an attorney.

According to a University of Illinois police report, members of the UI police street crimes unit were investigating a suspicious vehicle at UI parking lot D-14, 1203 W. Oregon St., U, at about 9 p.m. Saturday when they found suspected marijuana and the suspected drug MDMA, also known as Ecstasy.

No information was available on Monday night as to what led police to investigate the vehicle or the amount of suspected drugs that were found.
