Westville delays decision on selling equipment

WESTVILLE — Mayor Mike Weese said Tuesday that he did not expect the board to decide on the possible sale of village equipment until early next year.

Last month, board member Don Hall commented on some underused equipment, such as an oversized four-door pickup truck with a shallow dump bed and a track-hoe, which were purchased and used last year, but have not been used much in recent months.

Weese said the equipment is still being used, and that board members would probably look more at the possible sale and purchase of village equipment when they start working on the 2014-15 budget.

In other business, the board learned that Zamberletti Park would be closed for the year on Oct. 28, and the restrooms would be locked.

The board also set Trick-or-Treating hours for between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Oct. 31.
