Above average temps possible soon, weather service says

The National Weather Service said we could see higher than normal temparatures over the next few months.

The group on Thursday released its outlooks for the month of November and for the three month period between November and January.  And the long term outlook shows an increased chance of above average temperatures in Illinois and across the Midwest.  State Climatologist Jim Angel also said those above average temperatures could continue all the way until March.

The short and long term outlooks for precipitation show an equal chance of above or below average precipitation.  Although Angel said Southern Illinois is expected to get more precipitation than Northern Illinois.
