Medical center entrance gets renovation

DANVILLE — The east entrance at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, 812 N. Logan Ave., Danville, is getting a facelift.

The project includes cleaning the exterior, replacing windows and renovating the entrance. It's being funded by a grant as part of Gov. Pat Quinn's Illinois Jobs Now Hospital Capital Investment Program.

The entrance, also known as the surgery ramp entrance, faces Logan Avenue. It will be closed temporarily, beginning Monday.

The work is expected to last five to six weeks.

During this time, signs will be posted to direct patient and visitor traffic to either the north entrance or the main entrance. Patients needing wheelchair assistance should use the main entrance.
