Rules for WIC program to return to normal locally

A spokesman for the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District said now that the partial government shutdown is over, everything will go back to normal, starting Friday, with the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children known as WIC.

C-UPHD's Director of Maternal and Child Health Brandon Meline said that anyone who got a one month WIC voucher will still have to follow the expiration date listed on the voucher.  But he said vouchers received starting Friday will again be valid for the usual three month period.
