One remains in hospital after Friday shooting in Rantoul

Rantoul Police are continuing to investigate a shooting at a motel in the village last week that sent two brothers to the hospital.

Sgt. Justin Bouse said one of the shooting victims has been released from the hospital, while the other one is still receiving treatment for what Bouse believed are non-life threatening injuries.

Bouse said it appears that there was a disagreement in the parking lot of the Rantoul Motel at around 6:45 p.m. Friday that led to the two brothers being shot.  Bouse said after the men were shot, they went to their room, which is where police found them.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact Rantoul Police at 892-2103 or remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers at 373-TIPS.
