Rantoul woman arrested for making a bomb threat

RANTOUL —  Rantoul woman upset with cable television billing allegedly threatened to blow up a local office, police said.

Stevie R. Corda, 24, of the 1200 block of Falcon Drive, Rantoul, was charged with making a bomb threat.

Rantoul police Sgt. Justin Bouse said Corda was speaking with a Mediacom cable television call representative about her bill and became upset.

Bouse said Corda “made mention she was going to bomb the Rantoul office.”

The alleged threat took place Oct. 8. Corda was arrested Oct. 18.

She was issued a notice to appear in court Nov. 1.
