DANVILLE — Danville Area Community College officials are looking to make some improvements to the Bremer Conference Center's theater.
The DACC Board of Trustees will vote Tuesday on whether to upgrade the theater's lighting and sound systems.
Under a recommendation, the board will vote on whether to accept the low base bid of $15,580 from Glesco Electric of Urbana to install new lights on the side of the stage, and an alternate bid of $5,355 from the firm to install new lights in the overhead cove in front of the stage.
Under a separate recommendation, the board will vote on whether to accept the low base bid of $27,853 from Conference Technologies in East Peoria to install a new sound system and remote controls, and an alternate bid for $885 from the firm for wireless remote access to the system.
Mike Cunningham, director of administrative services, said the prices include all materials, components and labor. Both projects were on the college's fiscal year 2014 capital equipment list and will be funded through the 2013 technology equipment bond.
Also at the meeting, the board will vote on whether to accept the 2013 fiscal year audit.
The independent audit, prepared by CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, reported that the college is in "sound financial condition."
