Georgetown Township launching coat drive

GEORGETOWN — Georgetown Township is launching a two-week coat drive to benefit needy families in the Georgetown-Ridge Farm school district.

People can drop off new or gently used coats, hats and gloves for people of all ages at the Georgetown Township Municipal Building, 1805 N. Main St., from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and Nov. 4 through 8.

The clothing will be distributed to families for free from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 9 at the township's municipal building.

For more information, call Georgetown Township Supervisor Penny Holycross at 662-8649 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays or 474-8707 after hours.
