Fisher stadium renovation expected to finish in spring

An effort to upgrade the Fisher School District's football complex is expected to finish ahead of schedule.

That's according to project spokesman Greg Liestman, who said as of last week the project team reached its $85,000 goal needed to fund bleacher renovations.  Reaching that goal means the team will get a $15,000 grant from the USDA.

Liestman added that the new track is already being used, and bleachers are expected to be done by the end of this year.  He said besides the bleachers, two major parts of the project remain.

Liestman also said the project team hopes to raise $500,000 total to fund the entire renovation project.  The group is about $21,000 away from reaching that goal.
