Learn a dance — and help

URBANA — Here's a chance to try Zumba, a dance-fitness workout, for free and help the Salvation Army gather toys for the holiday season.

A Zumbathon Christmas toy drive will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Urbana Park District's Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W. Stoughton, U.

Admission is one new unwrapped toy that will be given to the Salvation Army of Champaign County.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and registration isn't required.

Urbana Park District fitness and wellness coordinator Mike Iorio said this will be a chance for anyone to come and try out Zumba, and there will be more than one Zumba style showcased. Zumba Gold, the easiest form, will be offered first, he said.

People attending can stay the full two hours, or as long as they want, Iorio said.
