PAXTON — A Paxton resident has won a $1 million lottery prize.

The person purchased a Quick Pick ticket that matched the first five numbers in the Nov. 23 drawing, a news release on the Illinois Lottery website said.

The winner, whose name is being withheld until the claim form is returned, bought a Powerball subscription via www.myillinoislottery.com in late October.
