Center for Women in Transition expanding thrift store

The Director of Development at Champaign's Center for Women in Transition said the expansion of the group's thrift store will help the organization better serve the community.

Mary Wallace said the original Transitions Thrift Store is still located in Lincoln Square Village, but it now offers home decor items.  She added that the clothing portion of the store has been moved right next to the original space.

Wallace also said all of the revenue from sales at the store will still stay in the community and serve clients of the center.  She added that the clothing section is already open in the Lincoln Square Village and said the home store should be open this weekend.

The Transitions Thrift Store will have a grand re-opening event on Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. in Lincoln Square Village.
